The Boys, The Men & The Gentlemen | My Men

The menswear brand SROTA featured me on their blog this week in their section Learn From the Ladies.  They did an interview about my view of men, menswear and style sins. It was fun to answer and when I read again what I wrote, I smile. 

One correction, I'm not a stylist, I'm a fashion blogger, journalist, PR and brand consultant.

Lino Ieluzzi | Menswear Style Icon with a true Italian Tailored Charm and Fashion

Lino Ieluzzi, the epitome of Italian menswear style and tailored suits, he is a style menswear icon, and a true gentleman.

He has been photographed firstly by Scott Schuman from the Sartorialist, and that’s where the world came to know of him, obviously in the menswear industry he was already famous .

He is the boutique owner of Al Bazar in Milan, a menswear store, which evolved from a jeans and t-shirt shop to a the destination for aristocrats and men seeking the perfect coat or suit.

You can see him wearing the most perfect tailored suits, always double breasted, the chain hanging from his trousers, the made to measure shoes and of course smoking a cigarette.

I had the chance of snapping him during Pitti Uomo three times, 82, 83, 84 and even spoke to him. He is very charming and one of the biggest gentlemen I have ever met. He also invited me for a chat and a coffee once I return to Milan, and I will definitely take him up on his offer.

New Designers | Luke Azzopardi | The Young Artistic Couturier

 The Gozitan Couture Artist | A modern Traditional Canvas

Luke Azzopardi is a young and very talented artist and couture designer from Gozo, Malta. He exploded on the local Maltese fashion scene, and noone can dare to question why because his talent is obvious.

His one of a kind pieces are inspired by art. In his prints he uses paintings as sources and are modified accordingly, translating the colours and motifs onto fabric using laser printing. He has been using this technique and printing with these motifs since 2012.
 His latest collections were galvanized by the various images from the Sacra Conversazione - Madonna & Child renditions. 

This comes to no surprise because Luke is currently reading a degree in History of Art and before that he studied performance design and practice at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. 

Now for his next collection, which will probably be the Autumn/Winter 2013, he is researching stained glass during the Art Deco period and Egyptian Revival Periods.

He custom makes garments upon order both for men and women according to what his client wants, but remaining true to his ideas, concepts and his brand.

Midnight in Persia 

This very young designer has talent; his passion and knowledge about fashion and art  are producing beautiful and one of kind pieces - a modern traditional canvas. 

I will be ordering my first dress for the winter season soon.
