Vogue Italia | September 2013 | The Venetian Ball with Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda

A dark affair with Haute Couture in Venice
We all know what the September issue means to all magazines, especially to Vogue, the bible to the Autumn/Winter season, and Vogue Italia made sure it was one. The issue chose to feature Haute Couture and only it. Many designers were chosen including, Giambattista Valli and Atelier Versace but this one caught my eye, not only because its Dolce & Gabbana, but how often do we get to see Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda, since it is kept so secretive.

This editorial photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Tabitha Simmons is set in a grand Venitian palace featuring models Karen Elson and Ava Smith. A dark and mysterious setting "Beyond the Dream" evokes an interest which invites you into the unknown world of Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda into the 17th century. The one of a kind pieces from AW 2014 collection include digitally printed ball gowns, a lace dress which is synonymous with the Italian fashion house, corsets and veils, a coat and cape with embroided flowers, jewellery form their high end line, romantic lace gowns, masks and a wedding dress. Start dreaming because its a beautiful romance...

Cara Delevigne and Pharrell Williams | Born Lucky in the September 2013 issue of British Vogue

FASHION AND MUSIC ... ITS IN VOGUE, THIS TIME IN BRITAIN

This time its "Born Lucky" the other half behind the hit song "Get Lucky", in British Vogue ... Mr Pharrell Williams with supermodel Cara Delevigne in the September 2013 issue and a great editorial. After Daft Punk and Karlie Kloss in US Vogue, fashion and music reunite again for a more subtle editoral, coordinating outfits, giggling and goofing around, shot by legendary photographer David Bailey.
The word around is that Pharrell chose the model himself for the shoot and she gushed about the music man of the moment saying:  "I was so excited about working with him, he inspires me so much". He is currently in every hit song around and she is in every fashion spread, and what do you get when you see these two together? Stars and maybe a collaboration in the future. Apparently Ms Delevigne asked advice from the hit maker about how to launch her singing career, I guess something new is brewing, but for now have a look at this amazing shoot.

Karlie Kloss and Daft Punk | US Vogue | August 2013 | Fashion & Music

Editorial | The supermodel and the music superstars run around New York
The 20 something - Future Shock: Look like the most chic replicant from Blade Runner at the EDM-centric Electric Zoo festival on Randall’s Island, which kicks off at the end of the month. Chloé cream space-age shift ($1,795) overlaid with a jeweled cage dress; shift at Barneys New York, NYC. Salvatore Ferragamo silver minaudière. Alexis Bittar for 3.1 Phillip Lim earrings. Daft Punk and supermodel Karlie Kloss are the focus of a much anticipated editorial in the August 2013 issue of US Vogue.
The music duo probably have the most popular album of the moment and their debut song "Get Lucky" is the most played song everywhere.

The editorial is set and shot on West 42nd street and Karlie Kloss, wearing a super fierce wig, is styled in a number of different outfits from various decades whilst Daft Punk wearing their traditional metal helmets, metal gloves and the sharpest smart black suits, pose as bodyguards, one on each side. The editorial titled All Ages Show was shot by Craig McDean in traditional yet very futuristic set.
Have a look.

The 20 Something- Attention, Please: At Robert Wilson’s avant-garde benefit for the Watermill Center, performance artists meander the grounds in little more than body paint—or, say, white ape costumes. It’s not easy to turn heads, but this  Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci embroidered organza sweater, worn over a tulle dress with a tubular belt, should do the trick. Clothing at givenchy.com.
The 20 Something - Robot Rock: The sonic-sculpting Frenchmen behind the helmets would be dream dates for the opening of “Soundings: A Contemporary Score,” the first major sound-art show at the Museum of Modern Art.
