Eleanora Carisi | The Fashion Editor, Blooger and Designer | Italian Style Icon

MY GIRL CRUSH | FASHIONISTA
My favourite fashion blogger has to be Italian Eleonora Carisi. With her girlish, pretty edgy look, I simply love and adore her style. She never shys away from colour, all seasons are filled with the brightest hues, dressed by the best Italian designers and not, she loves Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, MSGM and Louis Vuitton to name a few. Her look never fails to have the best accessories from her stunning sunglasses to her bold jewellery.

She is the woman behind the blog Jou Jou Villeroy, she is a fashion editor at Grazia Italy and is a designer at What's Inside You. She is an entrepreneur and also owns a boutique, Maze,  in Torino, Italy. She is seen with fellow style icons Anna Dello Russo and is photographed during fashion weeks numerous times.
Her quirky, girly look, with her dip dyed wavy 1950s hair, she is definitely my style icon, muse and inspiration.

Auguri di  buon compleanno in ritardo Eleonora, sei fantastica!

FROM BLUE TO PINK: HER STYLE
Beautiful, successful and stylish, who said we cannot have it all.

Etrusca Made In Italy | True Italian Style and Quality for Every Man

Etrusca Made In Italy | Mens Shirts | La Maison Sartorie D'Amber
Etrusca, Made In Italy, is a high end menswear shirt brand produced and manufactured 100% in Italy. It’s a young brand, and when founder John Bartello contacted me for collaboration, I did not know who the brand was.
For the past few months him and I have been in discussion regarding this collaboration brand, finally its here.

When I saw the first images of Etrusca, I thought the collection had a collection for men and women, but it’s only a menswear brand. Luckily enough Etrusca sent me a polkadot shirt from Collezione Tre to see the product and feel the material, the design and for me to wear in one of my outfit posts as seen in their SS14 collection, where women are seen wearing the shirts.

THE BRAND
Etrusca is a young brand, but the name is not, it derives from pre-Roman history, during the Etruscan civilisation, and according to history they were the ones who came up with what Italy is known for today, style and quality.
The brand goes by the tagline of “Professional with an Edge.”, a balance of elegance and true Italian style. Their main focus is on having an exclusive range, limited in the number of quantity. The collection materials are sourced from the best manufacturers in Italy, using the best techniques to ensure the right fit and the best design.
I can see that the Etrusca man can have three personalities, the business man, the man who loves leisure and the young sporty professional, all in the same man, wearing three different collections.

Collezione Uno is the first collection from Etrusca. It is the collection made for the businessman, nothing more, perfectly worn with a suit and work attire, a man can easily take of his suit jacket and look smart. Collezione Due is a casual smart collection, which one can wear with a casual blazer and suit and change it up for a causal Sunday afternoon lunch or drinks in the evening. The colours of the shirts come in very deep colours of burgundy and purple, with floral motifs at the cuffs and bold pinstriped patterns. Collezione Tre is their latest collection for Spring/Summer 2014, yet to launch with a light and bright hued colour palette, floral details and embossed materials. It’s an ideal shirt collection for summer and I managed to get a sneak peak of it.

Laura Muscat | La Maison Sartorie D'Amber on STROTA
The menswear brand SROTA featured me on their blog this week in their section Learn From the Ladies.  They did an interview about my view of men, menswear and style sins. It was fun to answer and when I read again what I wrote, I smile.
One correction, I'm not a stylist, I'm a fashion blogger, journalist, PR and brand consultant.

You can read the whole interview here, but here are a few snippets

MENSWEAR STYLE SINS

PRADA Spring/Summer 2014 | Artists & Miuccia become Art Couture | MFW

The art inspiration which makes Miuccia a genius
When I saw the collection for the first time, I was a bit perplexed, but somehow, seeing it over and over again made me want it, especially the coats and the crystal encrusted sport dresses.
The venue was adorned by street artists hired by Miuccia just for the show to paint murals on the walls. She then mixed high fashion with components from the street, sport, art and couture.
Her woman is a gangster, a leader, a woman which rules the world and with Britney Spears in the background, to the tune of "work bitch!", simply added all the elements together.
Picasso like extracts from a painting printed on the garments with a 3D effect, encrusted bras worn on top of the dresses and even bras sewn as part of a dress with a lot of colour blocking to complement it. Sport midi length silk dresses, had crystals encrusted on them, long fur coats which were as rare as a painting, tube socks, sport collars, feathers and lady like bags.
Miuccia is pure genius, she is not only pushing Prada towards heaven, but she is making Prada become God. She is  creating collectables, which one must have, wear and then give to their children. No wonder Anna Wintour wears Prada over and over again. I'm already imaging the next vintage hunter like Hamish Bowles finding one of these rare Prada pieces from this collection at a vintage store in Paris.
A different collection, like none other, a break up from he usual monotonous simple classic collections to a hued artistry collection for a woman ready to concur the world.

From what I learned, Prada is the devil and the ruler and Miuccia confirmed this!
