Day 2 | New York Fashion Week S/S 2013 Collections

New York Fashion Week - Tadashi Shoji, Joseph Abboud, Honor, Costello Tagliapietra, Duckie Brown

Day 2 of New York Fashion Week gave us some very interesting collections from the now not so new designers, established in their own right. The women's collections started with BCBG by Max Azria, Nicholas K and Tadashi Shoji and ended with Costello Tagliapietra and Honor whilst, Joseph Abboud and Duckie Brown showcased their men's collections.
All collections have a very light and young feel and prints are still very much in fashion for Spring/ Summer 2013.

The designers Costello Tagliapietra, stuck by what they know best, the woman's elegant silhouette, beautifully draped versatile dresses, which can be worn from day to night.

The Japanese designer, Tadashi Shoji, decided to splash out on lace. A collection which featured bold vibrant gowns in bright hues. All the gowns had a lace touch, a collection which calls out Spanish costume traditions, a collection for those women who want a classical cocktail dress, who do not shy away from bright colours and from being daring.

Giovanna Randall, the designer for Honor (who has just become one of my favourite designers) has probably gained a larger following. The collection is one if her best to date, and has also been given a lof of praise already.
Its light, fresh and pure ... white, grey. pink and very light leafy green colour, featuring a geometric abstract print on some dresses, pink lace, and a leaf print in brown, as well as a rose flower print on others. It featured big skirts and lovely fabrics, especially the pink mother of pearl colour which had a rich metallic effect.

This collection is just lovely, Giovanna Randall, this collection is gorgeous!

BCBG by Max Azria and the men's collections will be updated shorty in another post.
